Was it a civilian and you didn’t know because they were keeping it under wraps? “What?!” That definitely was not the answer you expected. “Why should I be? I’ve already found her.” “Well, I’m not interested in looking for my soulmate.” You had always known that the chances of the two of you being soulmates was slim, and you knew you’d have to give him up eventually, but the heart wants what the heart wants. But it would also force you to drop your feelings for Ranpo. Finding your soulmate would mean you could live happily ever after. I don’t mind seeing in black and white since it’s what I’m used to, but… I think finding my soulmate would be nice.” You let out a sigh, your anticipation both dropping and rising. “Say, Ranpo… have you ever been interested in finding your soulmate? There was a question you’d been wanting to ask for quite some time, and an answer you wanted to know. “I don’t understand why anyone would be that desperate for love, or color.” Out of desperation the murderer moved onto her fifth partner hoping that he was her soulmate, and when he wasn’t, she snapped and killed him. Being the great detective I am, I could solve the case in 10 seconds. “Any beginner could have solved it, (Y/n)-chan. “How exactly was it boring, Ranpo? It’s a murder.” “Eh, it was boring,” he whined, his face morphing into a pout. “Great job as always, Ranpo-kun!” You cheered as you two walked back to the Agency, another case having been solved. The only thing you needed was Ranpo Edogawa. It was something to make the moment more magical, you supposed. Color was just a luxury a gift granted to couples finding just how deep their bond was.
